A little about me

I'm a graphic designer who takes a holistic approach to my work. Whether I'm crafting a brand identity or fine-tuning user experiences, I believe it's crucial to understand how everything fits together and can stand the test of time.

My Creative Approach to finding a career in design...

Back in the day, I was always the creative type. But as I navigated through school, the advice I got was to stick to the safe, high-paying career routes. So, I ended up putting my creative outlets on the back burner and pursued a degree in Vehicle Engineering Technology at Western Washington University. Turns out, just because you're good at something doesn't mean it's fulfilling. Lesson learned.

After trying my hand at almost every role at Best Buy and serving as a bank teller at Wells Fargo, I decided to revisit my passion for coaching and athletics. I went back to school for a degree in Exercise Science from Eastern Washington University, and this time around, things clicked. Graduated in 2017, feeling like I'd finally found my groove.

I started as a personal trainer at a local gym called All About Fitness, but it wasn't long before I realized my interest lay more in the business's brand than in personal training. Working closely with the owners, I revamped their online presence, rebranding the gym as "Shockman's - All About Fitness" after the owner's nickname, Shockman. On the side, I picked up disc golf, and soon enough, my friend and I were running a YouTube channel reviewing products. To my surprise, we got requests from some big names in the disc golf retail scene.

Fast forward, and I've immersed myself in design and creative problem-solving. Each day feels like a dream job—I relish the creative challenges and am constantly evolving, not only in design but also in understanding the unique passions that drive my clients. My mission goes beyond crafting designs and strategies; I'm dedicated to helping individuals unearth their passions and achieve success through my work.
